Hooded eyes, treated without surgery.

The eyes are where skin gives first, and where people notice first. Fibroblast plasma tightens hooded upper lids, crepey under-eye skin, and crow's feet in one planned session, with no scalpel and no general anesthesia. At Awakened Skin + Body in North Miami Beach, every eye treatment is performed by our founder, a certified national trainer, and every photo on this page is a real, unretouched client.

The eye area

What fibroblast does around the eyes.

The skin around the eyes is the thinnest on the face, which is why it loosens early and why so many people start researching an eye lift in their forties and fifties. Fibroblast plasma places a grid of controlled micro-points of plasma energy just above the skin. Nothing touches it, nothing cuts it. The surface contracts on the spot, and over the following months the skin builds new collagen and keeps tightening.

Around the eyes, that means lids that sit higher and read more open, under-eye skin that looks smoother instead of crepey, and softer crow's feet. The change you see in the mirror at week two keeps improving through month three to six.

It is the single most requested fibroblast area in our studio, and the one people most often consider while deciding whether they are ready for surgery. Many are not, and this is why they come to us.

What it helps

The concerns we treat around the eyes.

Hooded or heavy upper lids — skin that folds over the crease and makes eyes read smaller and more tired.
Crepey under-eye skin — the fine, papery texture that shows in daylight and on camera.
Crow's feet — the lines that fan from the outer corners.
The tired look — when people keep asking if you slept, and you did.

One honest exception: true under-eye bags are usually a fat issue, not a skin issue, and skin tightening does not remove fat. If yours are the fat kind, we will tell you at the consultation instead of selling you the wrong treatment.

The surgery question

How this compares to eyelid surgery.

Blepharoplasty removes excess skin and fat with incisions, usually under sedation or general anesthesia. It delivers the largest change available, and for advanced hooding it is the right tool. It also comes with surgical numbers: the average surgeon's fee alone runs $3,359 for upper lids and $3,876 for lower lids per the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, patient-reported totals average around $6,300, and recovery involves incisions, bruising, and weeks of settling.

Fibroblast is the strongest option before that point. One session, a topical numbing cream instead of anesthesia, 6 to 8 days of social downtime, and no incisions. It tightens the skin you have rather than removing it, which is exactly what earlier-stage hooding and crepiness call for.

We do not perform surgery and we do not earn anything when you choose it, so the consultation answer is straight: fibroblast, a surgeon, or nothing yet. We wrote the full comparison, with all the numbers, here: fibroblast vs. surgery, honestly.

The honest week

What eye-area healing looks like.

Days 1 to 2 — warmth and tightness, with swelling that gathers around the eyes. This is the puffiest stretch.
Days 3 to 4 — small carbon crusts darken and define while the swelling eases.
Days 5 to 8 — the crusts release on their own. Mineral makeup and sunscreen return once they have.
Months 1 to 6 — the skin keeps remodeling long after the mirror says done.

Who performs it

Around the eyes, the hand matters most.

Eyelid skin is the thinnest skin fibroblast ever touches, and the margin for sloppiness is zero. That is why at Awakened it is never delegated. Every eye treatment is performed by our founder, Rachel Levy, a certified national trainer who teaches this method to other providers. Candidacy, including an honest skin-tone assessment, is confirmed before anything is booked.

Questions

Eyelid fibroblast, answered.

Can fibroblast replace an eyelid surgery?
They are different tools. Blepharoplasty removes excess skin and fat under anesthesia; fibroblast tightens the skin you have, without cutting. Some people choose fibroblast first and never need more, and some need a surgeon. The consultation gives you a straight answer on which one you are.
Upper lids, lower lids, or both?
Both can be treated, along with crow's feet. Which zones make sense for you, and in what combination, is mapped at the complimentary consultation.
Does it work on under-eye bags?
Crepey, loose under-eye skin responds well. True bags are usually a fat issue, not a skin issue, and skin-level treatment does not remove fat. If yours are the fat kind, we will say so instead of treating the wrong layer.
How long is the downtime?
Most clients have 6 to 8 days of social downtime. Swelling gathers around the eyes for the first day or two, then small carbon crusts form and release on their own.
Does it hurt near the eyes?
The area is numbed with a topical anesthetic first. Most clients describe warm pinpricks and pressure rather than pain, and the session is paced to your comfort.
How much does it cost?
It is quoted at a complimentary consultation after a candidacy and area assessment, because pricing depends on which zones are treated. Payment plans are available through Cherry and Affirm.
Is it safe for darker skin tones?
Deeper skin tones carry a higher risk of post-treatment pigmentation with any hot plasma treatment, which is exactly what the candidacy assessment is for. We would rather decline a session than compromise your skin.
